Peter D. Gehres earns CAI designation

Columbus, Ohio - Peter D. Gehres, Auctioneer at Belhorn Auction Services, LLC recently completed his third and final year of the highly honored National Auctioneers Association (NAA) Education Institute’s Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) designation. He will be officially awarded his designation this July (2009) in Kansas City, Missouri at the 60th annual NAA Conference and Show.

The CAI designation is the most respected education program in the country for exclusively for Auctioneers. The CAI program is an executive developmental program offering coursework in management skills, business ethics, finance, marketing, negotiation, and leadership. The nation’s most distinguished and respected leaders in the auction industry as well as university professors provide instruction to CAI students throughout the three year program. For over thirty years auctioneers across the USA, Canada and the world have traveled at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana to participate in the program.At the conclusion of this years program Gehres was awarded the prestigious Pat Massart Leadership Award. The award honors the memory of Auctioneer Pat Massart and her steadfast commitment to the CAI program and the auction industry.

Gehres is a first generation auctioneer who selling both personal property and real estate for clients in Ohio and around the Midwest. Gehres teaches at The Ohio Auction School and is the owner of Auctions on Track an auction education and leadership training company that presents auction education and motivational programs to state auctioneers associations as well as other business and continuing educational classes. The CAI was Gehres’ second designation having been earned the Certified Estate Specialist designation in November of 2006. Gehres is a member of the National, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan State Auctioneers Associations.
