KnowPottery | Hull Pottery of Crooksville, Ohio, burnt down on this day in, June 16, 1950 as the pottery's hot kilns exploded when flood waters surrounded them. It took more then a fire to stop Hull, it took cheap Chinese imports and the changing tastes of buying public to close the company in 1985. Above is a commemorative from 2000. Hull Pottery Association Commemorative have a surprising value in the market. Visit Belhorn.com for auctions and information.
